- Bingo! On MSN I was the only person out of 9 pages who caught this. She took the son and moved thousands of miles away from the father. SHE left HIM, but I guess it is so much more convenient to just assume he abandoned her.

- How do you know the father abandoned the son in the first place? SHE moved several thousand miles away from HIM. Sounds like she did the abandoning, not the father.

- This dad did not abandon his son, the mother moved away with their son from Texas to New York-several thousand miles away. She took the son away from his father thus severing the contact for all intents and purposes.
